Hampton Tea House

Testimonials
What a truly wonderful experience! My friends & I visited the charming Hampton House B & B and Tea House for high tea and were absolutely delighted from start to finish.
The hosts Dixie & Bob were warm and welcoming, going out of their way to make us feel welcome, even giving us an extensive tour of the beautifully renovated house, built in the year 1900 (!) and sharing stories about its history.
The high tea itself was simply delicious - everything from the sandwiches and the vol-au-vent to the sweet treats was perfectly prepared. The mimosas and fascinators added a fun touch.
Can’t recommend this place enough - whether you’re a local looking for a delightful afternoon experience or simply travelling through the countryside, this B&B is an absolute gem!

Sometimes the best finds aren’t planned… they just happen
Today Saturday took us on a countryside adventure out toward Hampton & Solina.
A charming Hampton home offering afternoon tea service… and let me tell you, it was everything Cozy, elegant, and full of that warm “stay awhile” vibe we all love. Hampton House B & B and Tea House.
We were welcomed with a refreshing mimosa to kick things off (yes please! ), and the attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed—the clotted cream was a standout touch. Not every spot offers this little luxury with their crumpets, and for true afternoon tea lovers, you know it makes all the difference.
Joined by our tea crew (Darryl & Paula), Pete and I soaked in a beautiful spring drive—wind and all (because… Ontario).
But wait… the foodie stops didn’t end there
- Fresh farm eggs from Almet Farms
- Legendary cinnamon donuts from Tyrone Mills (still just as addictive!)
- Salsa-spiced cheese from Empire Cheese — WOW, forgot how good this is
Honestly… this turned into a full-on Durham Region flavour tour.
Back at tea, our lovely hosts Dixie & Bob welcomed us like old friends. Bob (aka the butler ) is also a talented artist, and their home? Absolutely stunning—tasteful, inviting, and full of personality. One of those places that just makes you feel good the second you walk in.
Moral of the story?
Take the backroads. Stop at the farm stands. Say yes to tea.
You never know what memories—and flavours—you’ll discover.
